It’s no secret that XC races are won or lost on the climbs, and that’s why Specialized put the Chisel on a diet to bring one of the lightest aluminum hardtail frames to market. State-of-the-art D’Aluisio Smartweld technology and space-age M5 aluminum allow you to ride fast and efficiently, so much so that you’d swear there’s a motor hiding somewhere in the frame.
Forget the bumpy ride that aluminum hardtails have brought in the past. Using DSW technology and hydroformed tubing, Specialized engineers were able to tune specific areas of the frame to create a perfectly balanced ride. The frame is laterally stiff for instant power transfer and acceleration, but it’s vertically compliant so you get less bump. End result? You can ride faster and longer than you ever imagined.
